Thinking about Social Enterprise: 1 February 10am-1pm
Are you thinking of setting up your own organisation with social aims and need to know more? Not sure if you should be a charity, social enterprise or community group? This half day introductory course is designed to offer you help and advice to get your ideas off the ground whether you are thinking of setting up a new organisation or developing an existing one
Understanding and Starting a Social Enterprise 22 February 10am-4pm
Designed to focus on participants social enterprise ideas and provide practical advice on how to get it set up, this course will enable you to understand your current situation and examine ways to turn your ideas into a fully functioning social enterprise. Suitable for people thinking of setting up a new organisation or taking an existing one to the next level.
Social Enterprise Legal Structures 7 March 10am-4pm
Aimed at individuals or organisations who want to find out more about social enterprise legal structures, this course is particularly useful for people wanting to set up their own social enterprise but is also appropriate for existing organisations looking at becoming a social enterprise.
Business Planning 28 March 10am-4pm
This course is suitable for individuals and/or organisations that need to write a realistic, functional and useful business plan. Participants should be at a stage where they have relevant financial information prepared and are ready to write a business plan for their project or organisation

This 2012 Brightspace Social Enterprise Training programme is supported by the BIG Lottery which enables us to offer these valuable courses at a considerably reduced rate for start-ups, existing charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises based in Suffolk. For private or public sector organisations the full fee per person is £85 plus vat for full day courses and £50 plus vat for half-day, which still represents excellent value for high quality training.Book on all four courses to receive a further discount.

Tendering Process Training
This training day aims to support local organisations with tendering for service contracts with Suffolk County Council by increasing understanding and knowledge of the tender process and boosting confidence in completing the tender process effectively.
